Artevelde Prison has very strict rules about communication. Therefore not everyone in prison is allowed a cellphone or has acces to internet and digital media. Only the top-noch inmates can afford themselves these privileges. 

For this reason it was very important that we also created an internal communication system that is accessible for everyone and so we created 'Radio Artevelde'
Radio Artevelde is a radiostation that will work with a frequency that’s operated by the government. It is used for explaining governmental issues, communicating country news and playing some awesome music.

We have chosen the radio because it can be used by everyone since it’s not expensive and it’s not an individual device so multiple people can listen to the radio at the same time without any problem.
